The Best Parisian Bakery in Seoul

  Paris Baguette, the best bakery?

By: Jey Ahn, Daniel Jang, Ethan Kim

In 1988, Paris Croissant launched Paris Baguette by Sang-ho Cho. Now, there are over 3000 stores! By that time, Korean people first met with European style bread. Most bakery stores had only the plain bread Korean people mostly eat. However, the Paris Baguette surprised people because of the luxury kind of bread we all eat now. The company helped make us eat bread also for our breakfast. They made the first bake off system in Korea. Most cakes were actually buttercream. However, Paris Baguette made the whipped cream cake. Paris Baguette made lots of seasonal cakes even though they are a bakery store.  Daniel likes the Garlic Butter Baguette and Jey and Ethan prefer the Cheese Sausage Pastry. Now you can see that Paris Baguette sells bread, drinks, snacks, sandwiches, and much more.

Paris Baguette seems to have lots of products. How could they do all of those so quickly? It is because they use natural, human, and capital resources. What are the natural, human, and capital resources? Natural resources are things that come from nature and are untouched by human hands. Human resources are the people and workers who work for a company. Capital resources are man-made tools and equipment that produce products. Now let’s find some examples of these resources. Let’s start with some natural resources. Paris Baguette has been started in Paris. There is a lot of good soil there. Then you can grow good wheat, blueberries, some strawberries and more ingredients. These are the natural resources.

There are also human resources. Most of the stores would have a patissier who bakes the breads and desserts. Some can be dish cleaners who clean dishes. There would also be several cleaners who clean the floor. Others can be the staff where you can greet the customers and the cashiers. All of these jobs and workers are human resources. Now let’s see if there are some capital resources. First we need the doors for the store.  I suppose that there should be mixers and coffee machines. You need to have an oven if you want to have a bakery store. There may be some grinding machines. The Paris Baguette must have the molds and the bread pan. Capital resources are the materials listed here.

The End!!
